– Eucalypt-inspired arts and crafts, including creating a ‘Eucalypt Man’, flower crowns, gumnut headbands, wands, koala masks, and nature collages.
– Koala and gum leaf-themed face painting.
– Photo opportunity area with arches adorned with eucalypts and local flowers; visitors are encouraged to share on social media with #LoveAGum.
– Visit from Nutty the Koala, dressed in a eucalypt-inspired costume.
– Storytelling with Sarah Eccleston, author of Have You Seen a Tree for Me?, exploring the challenges koalas face in the wild and the importance of habitat preservation.

Sanctuary team members, experts in native plants and koala care, will showcase the sanctuary’s gumtree species and explain how eucalypts sustain biodiversity, provide habitat, and support climate resilience.
