GUMFEST – Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Mount Coot-tha (Qld)

Join us at Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Mount Coot-tha for a family-friendly celebration of the eucalypt – one of our national botanic treasures.
You can learn more about our magnificent gum species and the amazing wildlife they support by attending some talks, guided walks, hands-on workshops and activities for both kids and adults. Try your hand at nature journalling, learn about dyeing fabric with eucalypt leaves, meet some cheeky flying foxes and much more while experiencing a part of the Botanic Gardens you may never have seen before.
We’re putting on a shuttle bus at the Visitor Information Centre to take you up to the Australian Plant Communities, or you can follow the gum leaves along the adventure trail to get to the festival. There will be coffee, food and cold drinks available to purchase at the event site.
This event supports the Botanic Gardens’ commitment to creating a plant-loving community dedicated to putting the ‘plant back into planet’.
Please wear a hat and covered shoes and bring sunscreen.
This event will be held at the Australian Plant Communities section of the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Mount Coot-tha. You can walk or take a shuttle bus from the Visitor Information Centre. Allow 20 – 30 minutes to get to the festival site.
