Eucalypts of Narrogin: Art, Science and Stories are launching their local eucalypt dye website (and celebrating National Eucalypts Day) on Saturday, March 22 at Narrogin Reception Centre.
They have collected leaves and bark from 37 gum trees that grow naturally in the Narrogin area, created a multitude of dyes from these, and are celebrating this milestone by launching the website which will show some of the processes and colours obtained during this project, along with some of the side projects to date.
The Narrogin Art Group Friday Artists have joined this celebration with the opening of their ARTisTREE exhibition showcasing the amazing local eucalypts at the adjoining NEXIS gallery (March 22-April 12).
Come along 2-4 on Saturday, March 22 for afternoon tea and the official website launch/exhibition opening. If you would like to chat about some of the local eucalypts, project pieces and artworks or listen to artist talks then we will also be open 10-4 Sunday, March 23
