Shining a Light on Australian Native Bonsai
The Victorian Native Bonsai Club is holding its annual exhibition of members’ Australian native bonsai trees.
While the display will, as always, cover a wide range of Australian native species, there will be a significant number of Eucalypts in the exhibition. While they don’t have the final list of exhibits as yet, the club expects to have a range of species of Eucalyptus, Corymbia and Angophora.
The theme for this year’s exhibition is “Shining a light on Australian native bonsai”, and will feature a special lighting up of a number of trees in the dark of the Friday evening, with carefully placed floodlights beneath the trees.
There is a special opening night on Friday, March 15th from 5:30pm to 8:30pm and a full day on March 16th from 9am to 4pm.
Adults $7, children under 15 are free.
