Eucalypt Australia is the operating name of the Bjarne K Dahl Trust, established in 2007 following a bequest from Bjarne Klaus Dahl.

Our mission is to inspire, connect and empower Australians to safeguard and celebrate eucalypts as vital to our landscapes, cultures and future.

The world is changing. What can we learn from Australia’s iconic eucalypts to guide our future? And how can we safeguard their place in it? Join us in 2027 as we explore the answers coming from laboratories, communities, boardrooms and conservation organisations around the country!

National Eucalypt Day 2027

Grants

One and two year research grants of up to $25,000 per annum and single year community grants of up to $5,000 are awarded to organisations advancing thethe research, education and conservation of eucalypts.

2027 Research and Community Grant applications are open now and close on 11 August 2026 at midnight AEST.

Fellowships

Annual Fellowships of up to $25,000 awarded to individuals for projects that advance the conservation, education or research of eucalypts.  

2027 Fellowship applications are open now and close on 11 August 2026 at midnight AEST.
