Don’t forget a hat and good walking shoes! \nCurrency Creek Arboretum boasts the world’s largest collection of eucalypt species\, with over 800 species and over 8000 individual trees planted over 30 hectares. \n\nEucalypt book sales\nEucalypt seedling sales of rare and unusual species\n\nMeet at Currency Creek Arboretum\, about one hour’s drive south of Adelaide city centre. Follow the signs from Adelaide Place\, which joins Alexandrina Road (the Goolwa to Strathalbyn road) about 1.5 km north of Currency Creek\, about 19 km south of Ashbourne\, and about 26 km south of Strathalbyn.

Weave them out of bark and leaves. \n\nThere are more than 800 species of Eucalyptus in Australia. There is only one Ellen Holland. \nEllen’s beauty is famous for miles around. Her overprotective father has created a safe place to protect her from the world: a forest of Eucalypts. \nEucalyptus australiana\, Eucalyptus marginata\, Eucalyptus maidenii … lovingly planted\, staked\, tied. \nBut is the forest a sanctuary or is Ellen imprisoned? \nEucalyptus is a new opera by Jonathan Mills\, based on Murray Bail’s beloved novel. It’s part Australian fairy tale and part musical evocation of the Australian bush. In this dappled landscape lurks both beauty and wonder. The score is mysterious and colourful\, with moments of dramatic intensity and hushed beauty.
