DESCRIPTION:With great regret\, cancelled due to unforseen drought conditions and associated fire risk. \nOpen days will return in October 2025 – Sat 11th and Sun 12th \nOne of our most popular events and a must do for the true eucalypt enthusiast!\nFree 1 hour and extended 2 hour guided tours of the arboretum by eucalypt expert and arboretum curator Dean Nicolle\, beginning twice daily at 10 am and 2 pm. \nDon’t forget a hat\, some snacks and water\, and good walking shoes! \nCurrency Creek Arboretum boasts the world’s largest collection of eucalypt species\, with over 800 species and over 8000 individual trees planted over 30 hectares. \n\nEucalypt book sales\nEucalypt seedling sales of rare and unusual species\n\nMeet at Currency Creek Arboretum\, about one hour’s drive south of Adelaide city centre. Follow the signs from Adelaide Place\, which joins Alexandrina Road (the Goolwa to Strathalbyn road) about 1.5 km north of Currency Creek\, about 19 km south of Ashbourne\, and about 26 km south of Strathalbyn.
